Dream Work
Co-guide Marie has spent 15 summers in Uyak Bay, finding the natural environment deeply conducive for dreaming. Twice daily we will meet to work with our dreams and explore their guidance. Marie’s work is inspired by Jungian dream analysis, and she relies on the wisdom of the group to share insights and learn collectively. The only requirement is an interest in engaging with dreams and a willingness to dance with the shadows!

Yoga Practice
In this yoga studio overlooking Uyak Bay, co-guide Joanna will lead us twice daily through Hatha and Yin Yoga and guided meditation sessions. The purpose of this time is to ground ourselves and integrate that day's dream work. We encourage you to allow the practice to help you establish a stronger connection with your body and soul. Our sessions will be accessible to all bodies and we invite you to listen to your own internal rhythm.

Connecting with place
Harvester Island has been inhabited by Alutiiq People since time immemorial. Culture Bearer Hanna Sholl will lead us through an oil lamp lighting ceremony to invite us into a respectful relationship with the land and with ourselves. Additionally, we will go on skiff excursions (when the weather allows) to beach comb and picnic, see marine life, and maybe even a few whales if they decide to visit.

so here’s what you should know
The food will be healthy and delicious and seasonal. Chef Anjuli Grantham grew up on a fish camp on Kodiak, and has cooked her way through many a cookbook. We will connect with you in advance about any dietary considerations, allergies, or anything else we should be aware of when planning the menu.
Aside from prescription medication, this is an alcohol and drug free retreat. We are excited to create a space to more fully connect with ourselves and our dream world.
The weather on Kodiak is the ultimate boss. On occasion, small planes are delayed, and travel can be interrupted either to or from the retreat. Additionally, our daily flow will fluctuate depending on what the forecast is in the morning.
This workshop will take place on a family seasonal set-net fishing site. While we are on Harvester there will be families and a crew fishing on this island. Our excursions will be hosted by the families and crew that have generationally fished off Harvester.
We encourage you to listen to your own body and self, and if you need to take a break at any time we are completely fine with that! Retreats can be intense and if you want to nap, rest, walk by yourself, journal, or anything else, we support you. We provide structure but ultimately encourage you to listen to your inner wisdom.
While we encourage folks to unplug during this retreat, wifi will be accessible via star-link in certain areas, so you will be able to connect with family and loved ones as needed.
This retreat is open to anyone regardless of age, gender, or experience with yoga & dream interpretation, but the location requires that we identify a few physical demands on retreat-goers. Specifically, you must be able to step in and out of a skiff. Additionally, we do not recommend this retreat to anyone with an underlying health condition that requires easy access to a hospital. You will have an option of bathing in a shower or banya at least every other day. Ocean dipping is also an option!
Our accommodations will be nice and also simple. If you are looking for a luxury getaway, this might not be it, but you will be comfortable and well taken care of. You can see sample photos of the rooms below. The fee for a double room (shared with one other person, you each have you own bed) is $4,100, and the fee for a single is $5,100. The price includes travel from Kodiak (a flight on a small plane, a skiff ride to Harvester), and food and accommodations for the entire retreat. Airfare to Kodiak is not included.
If you apply and are accepted into the retreat, a half-price deposit is due by February 15th. If you cancel by March 31st you will get a 75% refund of your deposit. The final balance is due by May 15th, and is non-refundable.
